All the books in the Lone Pine series are set in that area. However, not Lone Pine itself but a fictitious town called Lower Pine. Middle Pine, which is mentioned, is also fictitious. Here are a couple of pictures of the Lone Pine area as it is today which includes the lakes nearby.
