When bounty hunter, Jesse Cooper, has to slide over the edge of a cliff to escape rustlers, he does not realise it is the beginning of a life he has wanted for three years since Helen refused to marry him because she felt bounty hunting was too dangerous.
Helen comes to see him, ostensibly to ask him to go home for Christmas, which he hasn't done since he left.
When she has to pretend to be a bounty hunter herself life becomes dangerous. What is needed are a lot of miracles if they are to survive until Christmas.
